Max Mara The Cube, focused on the padded jacket, is an integrated system of outerwear and accessories born in 2008. The Max Mara The Cube’s design is so innovative that it has been “boxed” into the display cases at the Berlin State Museums and New York’s FIT, as a “cult object” in the “Fashion and Technology” exhibitions.
Max Mara The Cube also features jackets with CAMELUXE padding - A special upcycling process, the excess fabric from the production of MMs iconic camel-hair coats is recovered and mixed with recycled polyester fibres to form a highly insulating and high-performance padding: Cameluxe. This upcycling process has less of an impact in terms of energy consumption, waste fabric, water use, and therefore generates fewer atmospheric emissions compared to a manufacturing process that uses virgin fibres for padding.
