As a family business, Gardeur started producing various types of clothing in 1920.
In 1959, the company started specializing in the production of Trousers and Pants.
This led to the first Trouser brand in Germany in 1969.
In 1974, Gardeur was one of the first clothing manufacturers to decide to partially relocate production abroad.
A factory was set up in Tunisia, where production would (partly) take place.
In order to be prepared for the future, a new Logistics Centre was built in Mönchengladbach in the year 2000.
In 2004, further investments were made in Tunisia with its own production, administration, logistics and training centre.
In the years that followed, 'innovation', 'renewal' and 'expansion' remained terms that suited Gardeur.
